Goals
Over the apicultural research work the basis is to be compiled for the solution of current problems of beekeeping issues in the country. Long-term projects, particularly within the central ranges of the bee attitude (varroosis, honeydew flow, bee protection) are to guarantee the fact that these solutions are lasting and changed conditions is adapted. The research results are to be converted in co-operation with national technical consultation and the beekeeper federations into the practice.

Cooperation
The Apicultural State Institute is merged into a close net at active cooperation with different institutes of the University of Hohenheim (agrarian science, nourishing science, zoology), all with bees concerned national places (technical consultation, veterinary service) of the country as well as the regional organizations in Baden-Württemberg. Beyond that the national institute is member in the working group of the German bee institutes. In the context of the European development and the landspreading problems of the bee attitude strengthens cooperative projects with institutes for bee abroad established.
